How to Spot an Insane Weasel: Armed With a Message of Fear

No Need for Law Enforcement

Armed and Getting More Dangerous

Want a real scary and dangerous message - brother, this is it - story comes from Talking Points Memo:

Think the NRA and their minions, the GOP (and yes, even a few DEMS, but mostly GOPer minions) message of fear and hype and potentially hostile acts against our own government is not effective? Then think again:

•  Three in 10 registered American voters believe an armed rebellion might be necessary in the next few years, according to the results of a staggering poll released Wednesday by Fairleigh Dickinson University’s PublicMind.

•  The survey, aimed at measuring public attitudes toward gun issues, found that 29 percent of Americans agree with the statement: "In the next few years, an armed revolution might be necessary in order to protect our liberties." An additional 5% were unsure.

•  18% of Democrats said an armed revolt "might be necessary."

•  27% of independents, and 44% of Republicans said yes, it might be necessary.

Support levels were similar among males and females but higher among less educated voters.

Less-educated: No shit, Dick Tracy, as if we didn't already that little tidbit ... it's not only the GOP/Rightwing/TEA base, but the major of the NRA's membership. A huge case of pee-pee envy for sure.

Sub-title to this story: "25% of Americans believe there's a Sandy Hook conspiracy."
