WEASEL MOVIE: CONGRESS ON VACATION, RATED R (ROTTEN)

WTF!!!

BROWN INDICATES DAYS IN SESSION (AT WORK ON THE JOB)

Congress is heading out for a one-month vacation (a full month off) to go back home (they say) and talk to the people. They are taking a 83% disapproval rating. I try to picture them standing there telling the voters to keep them in office, let them finish their work, and what, continue to serve the "American people" (a phrase we hear them use daily), starting with this introduction to them:  "I will have worked a total of 126 days and been off 239 days this session. As for me, I have worked hard to:" (How about you, Mr. and Mrs. America - how many have you worked, or not, or had time off)?

1.  Repeal health care anyway possible and now will work to de-fund it.
2.  Prevent women from making their own health care decisions.
3.  Slow down or prevent voting rights to stop fraud and stuff like that.
4.  Help college students with mountains of bills by lowering their loan rates.
5.  Create jobs without any new spending or taxes to help corporations do what they do best.
6.   Get some kind of immigration reform, post office reform, try to meet the fiscal deadlines for the debt limit and those automatic (sequestration cuts) the old fashioned conservative way.
7.   Team with people like Senators Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and House members like Steve King, Michele Bachmann, and a few others for a better future and not just by cutting food stamps, public education, Unions, the entire Federal budget, and of course, eliminating broccoli (just for laughs).

FYI: This 113th Congress is on track to tie or top the 112th, which was recorded as the worst since the 80th back in the 1940 (Harry Truman called them the “Do Nothing Congress”). This Congress passed a dismal record of 15 bills in several narrow categories shown below:

1. Fixing a screwed-up bill: HR 258: Stolen Valor Act of 2013. HR 325: No Budget, No Pay Act of 2013. HR 475: To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to include vaccines against seasonal influenza within the definition of taxable vaccines. HR 1246: District of Columbia Chief Financial Officer Vacancy Act. HR 1765: Reducing Flight Delays Act of 2013. S 716: A bill to modify the requirements under the STOCK Act regarding online access to certain financial disclosure statements and related forms.

2. Reauthorizations:  S 47: Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013HR 307: Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Reauthorization Act of 2013S 622: Animal Drug and Animal Generic Drug User Fee Reauthorization Act of 2013

3. Disaster relief and other appropriations:  HR 41: Hurricane Sandy relief bill. HR 152: Disaster Relief Appropriations Act, 2013HR 933: Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2013

4. Commemorative bills: HR 360: To award posthumously a Congressional Gold Medal to Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole. Robertson, and Cynthia Wesley who died in the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church.  HR 071: To specify the size of the precious-metal blanks that will be used in the production of the National Baseball Hall of Fame commemorative coins.

Thought you'd like to know - for what it's worth. The rest is up to you. Good luck...
