This snapshot was captured and it fits the story perfectly from NBC News. But, I like my Blog post label better (prideful smile). Bow their heads in utter shame - they have earned it.

The heart of this story is simple: “With only a handful of remaining legislative days on their calendar, this current Congress is on track to go down as one of the most unproductive in modern history.”  

On track to pass only 52 bills ... now some will argue like Speaker Boehner once quipped: “We should be passing less, not more laws.” That’s true, but those numbers are a little bit different – but no less grim – since a lot of those 52 bills are merely ceremonial (naming a post office after a well-known person, etc.).  

The salaries we pay these people compared to the “work” they accomplish, well ... it’s pretty disgraceful. I suggest on payday that they back up to table in shame – they sure have not served the best of the public they have sworn to serve and most of their pay should remain in the national treasury department.  

I will bow my head and pray that most of them are booted out next cycle. That’s a worthwhile prayer, isn’t it?
