Right in the Middle of His Rebuttal on the Iranian Nuke Agreement
One of the GOP’s so-called “rising stars” or in this
case, “Mr. Know-it-all/Nuclear Expert" blasts the recent Iranian nuclear
agreement with these words of wisdom:
“This agreement will
not freeze Iran 's
nuclear program and won't require the regime to suspend all enrichment as
required by multiple UN Security Council resolutions. By allowing the Iranian
regime to retain a sizable nuclear infrastructure, this agreement makes a
nuclear Iran
more likely. There is now an even more urgent need for Congress to increase
sanctions until Iran
completely abandons its enrichment and reprocessing capabilities.”
Apparently, Mr. Rubio joins a long line of GOPers “sour on
the deal” as reported on by Politico here.
More right wing insanity can be read here. One good sample will suffice:
The Washington Post reported that Iran agreed to a deal brokered by the United States and five other world powers that freezes key parts of Iran's nuclear program in exchange for temporary relief on some economic sanctions."
That was followed by right wing reactions from all over place like this: In the November 24 Weekly Standard Blog, FOX News contributor and former UN Ambassador, John Bolton wrote that "... this interim agreement is badly skewed from America's perspective" and is "abject surrender by the United States."
However, I trust NPR and other reporting a lot more than Rubio’s weak red-meat opinion . I hope his gulps from that bottle are Arizona TEA to help wash down his wild speculation about whether the agreement will work or not, since it’s not even fully place – similar to the ACA not working this early on, too. Fortunately for the country and theMiddle East
region, his off-the-wall opinion carries little weight.

Fortunately for the country and the
CNN has pretty good coverage here as well as good
piece from the NY Times here.
So, Mr. Rubio, finish your water or TEA. Then go take your
seat in the corner at the back of the room on the stool reserved for you. Your Dunce
cap is on the table. You earned it.
