The Only Show in Town
When Did We Stop Being Great?
I like most of America caught
“The Donald” on "Meet the Press" as part of the Sunday rounds (on
Mother’s Day of all days).
Meet the Press segment is here:
A few facts I use to measure him by along
with his own words and statements:
- He chose to run for president in his escalator announcement in June 2015;
- He ran and won the GOP primary by axing, insulting, and ripping apart over a dozen GOP opponents;
- He may be qualified to run vis-à-vis the laws of the states he ran in;
- He may be eligible to run IAW the Constitutional standard for the office;
- He won but not necessarily fairly or squarely – a number of factors in play about that;
- He appears to be the presumptive GOP nominee;
- He may in fact get the GOP party not for the November General Election via the GOP convention in Cleveland in July.
His views and opinions and
approach and ideas about government and our system are way off the chart by any
standard to measure effective and inspirational leadership, let alone any common
decency standard.
He is focused on nothing except
that which benefits himself for entertainment value that he cherishes, lives
by, and draws every breath for.
Simply stated, he seeks
constant attention anyway possible for himself and anyway that he can garnish and
achieve it while never admitting it.
He does not care about the
entire welfare of the country – not one bit as any President must. He knows
little about world affairs, except what he sees on TV or reads in snippets and
sound bites like on Talk Radio.
All he cares about other than
welfare of his family that I am sure about, is being #1 and that means only Donald
J. Trump, and not much else.
What we is see is a new “King
Trump” production of his next reality show.
