Trump on Very Legal Thin Ice and Low Public Approval: Surprise, Surprise, Surprise

Liberty Crack Grows Daily Under Trump

Growing story from Huff Post and very disconcerting, too.

As the White House continues to grapple with the bombshell allegations outlined in a new book about the Trump presidency (Note: My other two sites with that story also here and here), a report that the president sought to control the early stages of the Justice Department’s Russia probe is likely to cause further headaches for the administration.

According to a New York Times story just published, Trump was so determined to keep AG Jeff Sessions from recusing himself from the investigation into his campaign’s possible collusion with Russia during the 2016 election that he enlisted WH counsel Don McGahn to help him. Sessions recused himself anyway, angering the president for months.

While Trump has publicly said he disagreed with Sessions’ decision — last July, for example, Trump said he wouldn’t have selected Sessions to run the DOJ if he’d known he would remove himself from overseeing the probe — the Times report suggests Trump personally attempted to influence the AG’s choice.

An AP source also confirmed that story.  “This is potentially more evidence that the president committed obstruction of justice,” legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin said on CNN following the Times report.

My 2 Cents: As these two old quotes from Will Rogers say: (1)Never miss a good chance to shut up,” and (2) “If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.”

Apparently Trump never heard of either one and simply makes crap up as he goes along, tweeter in hand and at the ready. But research says he has done more harm and damage to the country, our national pride and ethics and standing around the globe in one year than every past president combine with some of their selfish acts and such.

Trump’s actions have been for Trump Empire, Inc. and his family and rich BFF’s and their wallets – not yours or mine and 99% of our country

Do the research on his actions to date – pretty disgraceful and harmful like the story above and land giveaway to big oil interests (that story here).

Trump and Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke are continuing their onslaught against American public lands this holiday month and moving forward with plans to auction off 700,000 acres for fracking, endangering clean air and water, the climate and sacred lands.”

The country would be back to some sort of normal if he were out of office and the sooner the better. I hate to keep harping on that point – but I’m pretty sure millions and millions of others feel and think the same way.

Thanks for stopping by… maybe justice will start to move quickly and sure footed and remove him.
