Trump’s playbook for a second term in office and worse if he gains USSC “absolute immunity” for all the indictments now pending against him.
We should all be concerned, worried, and yes even afraid of a
second Trump term in office. That is discussed in simple and
raw terms from THE DAILY BEAST in this their article headline:
“Here’s What Right-Wing
Power Brokers Want Trump to Do in His Second Term”
Project 2025 is a 900-page document led
by the conservative advocacy group The Heritage Foundation and 80
right-wing organizations. It outlines what
they’d like a President Trump, or any Republican president, to accomplish in
his first 180 days.
Trump’s current campaign revolves around him settling scores with political adversaries, grappling with 91 legal challenges, and even as he hopes for an economic downturn that could favor his return to power.
Project 2025’s goal is
to recruit thousands of conservatives to Washington, D.C. who pledge their loyalty to
Trump and replace existing federal government workers (Schedule F employees) that he and they
believe are part of the “deep state” and then to enact a radical Republican
agenda.
For example, their strategy is straight from a Fox News chyron.
The first few pages of the document stress the vast reaches of
“cultural Marxism” and the importance of
deleting terms like Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and gender
equity from any piece of federal legislation that exists.
The proposed agenda
is comprehensive and advocates:
1. The privatization of the Transportation Security
Administration (TSA).
2. The weakening of protections against foreign election
interference.
3. A reduction in visas for international students.
4. The dismantling of
abortion protections by encompassing aggressive measures such as: (a) restricting
access to contraception, (b) leveraging the CDC for heightened abortion
surveillance and data collection, and (c) revoking DOD policy prohibiting
abortion travel funding.
Concerning the call to weaken protections against foreign election
interference, Project 2025 suggests ending the involvement of
the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM)
to strengthen U.S. election protection against foreign interference.
FYI: USCYBERCOM is
one of the branches of DOD and is the nation’s first line of defense in
cyberspace. Project 2025 believes that the DOD is being used as a tool for
political purposes.
One of the many flaws in
Project 2025’s strategy lies in its disregard for the genuine threat of foreign
interference in American elections.
Example how USCYBERCOM works: In 2020, Iranian hackers breached a municipal government reporting system that publishes election results.
They were thwarted by USCYBERCOM.
However, the Iranian hackers were still able to obtain confidential voter
data, deploying misleading emails to spread misinformation, and to manipulate
election results.
Now, by dismissing the threats from the 2020 election, Project 2025’s election plan jeopardizes our democracy and undermines the legitimacy of election results with this clenched fist pose:
My 2 Cents: Yes, above is what rightwing and well-financed power brokers want for a second Trump
term as he and they plan to dismantle our time-tested 247 year-old democracy
and replacing it with some sort of Trumpism
or whatever else they choose to call it.
It’s all part of Trump’s grand
revenge campaign plan outlined above in stark detail. This is NOT hyperbole, not
one bit. It’s raw, ugly, and mostly in Trump’s own words, actions, deeds, and
proposals.
Get ready for the end of
time, or better yet – help get out the vote to stop it in its tracks over the next
295 days and finalize it on November 5, 2024 – once again proving that “We the
People” have spoken clearly and forcefully with the most-power weapon of all:
Our right to vote in a free, fair, safe, and secure election.
Bye, Bye American Pie truly
says what it all means (in my view):
“American Pie”
is a memorable snapshot of a generation and a poignant reminder of how much
things can change in a relatively short period of time. And, that is what
Project 2025 seeks for Trump in this historical time in our lives.
That is not how America works and no changes by Trump or any other autocrat wannabe, or a “one-day dictator” will ever have the power to change that.
I hope you agree.
Thanks for stopping by.
