At CPAC: Insanity Redefined by NRA (Nitwits Я Anile) Official

Ken Blackwell - NRA Official at CPAC

Story here from Media Matters, in part from Mr. Blackwell (pictured above).

Speaking at the 2014 Conservative Political Action Conference, conservative columnist Ken Blackwell, who also holds leadership positions at the National Rifle Association (NRA) and Family Research Council (FRC), used health care reform to compare the Obama administration to a “totalitarian, authoritarian regime” and conspiratorially claimed that Obama-care was designed to “destroy the family and silence the church.”

Blackwell then further spoke of a “deliberate strategy by the Obama administration to fundamentally take over that section of our economy” just before he compared it to an oppressive regime.

You will note how more frequently GOP-Right Wingers use the word “regime” to bash Mr. Obama about everything. Boy, do they fear him.

Also, note that word was used over and over by the Bush team whenever they spoke about Saddam Hussein while whipping up hype and frenzy to gain support for going to war to remove that “regime” from power as a threat to us.

That is a pretty despicable use of the word today. But, hey, that’s a page from the new, old GOP playbook.
