Trump “DNA: Deny News Always” — Watson and Crick Would Be Amazed

Eric Trump Business Trip to Uruguay
(On Taxpayers Dime)

The headlines are not enough to get the full flavor of this story – the Washington Post link (see below) has the more sordid details.
First of all, it was news to me (and I’m sure to you too) that Eric Trump is considered part of the “First Family” wow – he and they get Secret Service protection – double wow.
The story is here from the Washington Post (my emphasis added in RED).
The Headlines:
“Eric Trump’s business trip to Uruguay cost taxpayers $97,830 in hotel bills”

That trip shows how the government is unavoidably entangled with the Trump Company as a result of the president’s refusal to divest his ownership stake.
In this case, government agencies are forced to pay to support business operations that ultimately help to enrich the president himself.
Though the Trumps have pledged a division of business and government, they will nevertheless depend on the publicly funded protection granted to the first family as they travel the globe promoting their brand.
A spokeswoman for Eric Trump declined to make him available for an interview and did not provide answers to a list of detailed questions about the trip. Eric Trump’s trip in early January to the coastal resort town appeared to be brief — perhaps as short as two nights, according to a review of local press clips and social media.
1.  The bill for the Secret Service’s hotel rooms in Uruguay totaled $88,320.
2.  The U.S. Embassy in Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay, paid an additional $9,510 for its staff to stay in hotel rooms to “support” the Secret Service detail for the “VIP visit.”
Despite the use of public funds, government agencies would not provide key details connected to the trip: including the duration of the stay, the name of the hotel or the number of booked rooms. A spokesman from the Secret Service, citing security concerns, declined to comment.
The money for the hotel rooms was paid through the State Department, but a spokeswoman there declined to comment on the trip.
So, no conflicts of interests abrewin’ I guess? As we found out recently, that law does apply to the President (nice loophole). Now it seems it also does not apply to Eric Trump – I guess Ivanka, Donald Jr., and maybe even Tiffany are next to test the limits of that law? Wife, small children I see it as okay. But the four adult children and perhaps their families, too, who are basically well-to-do and on their own – well, I’m not so hot on that angle. Maybe this guy knows the ropes?
Snidely Whiplash

Anyway, it’s a nice gig if you can get it, and then if so, just keep on milking that cow for all its worth.
Stay tuned to see the real Trump agenda...!!! I have no doubt more is forthcoming.
