“Trump’s Scottish and Irish golf resorts spur a new round of scrutiny on his businesses”

Trump claimed his three golf resorts: (1) Trump International Golf Links Aberdeen and (2) Trump Turnberry (both in Scotland), and (3) Trump Doonbeg in Ireland brought in a total of about $179 million in revenue on official U.S. tax documents where he is supposed to list his personal income.

However, records in the UK and Ireland indicate the three resort’s actual revenues were millions of dollars less – some $152 million less. Plus, the records show they actually lost $77 million after accounting for expenses.

Also, Trump claimed the Scottish resorts alone were worth at least $100 million total in 2018 on official U.S. documents, but again the U.K. records indicate that the resorts aren’t worth anywhere near that because the debts exceeded the assets by about $80 million that year.

So, as noted above: Iceberg — meet tip of Trump.

My 2 cents: I can’t add much to this except to say I doubt few people didn’t believe this was the Trump M.O. that he learned well from his father and has practices and mastered his whole adult life. 

Now he has an army of lawyers and accountants that work overtime protecting his lies with their double, triple, or quadruple bookkeeping… 

That kind income tax evasion nailed Al Capone and it will nail Donald J. Trump and rightly so. 

A lot more is forthcoming against Trump and his shady, crooked, corrupt, unlawful, and illegal money deals worldwide – these golf resorts are just the tip of the iceberg. 

A lot more trees will be felled in that rotten forest known as Trump Empire, Inc.
