Another January 6 Trial: Faced Six Charges — All Six Guilty — He Then Blamed Trump

DOJ response to release of info (not now)

Dustin Thompson guilty on all 6 charges
(Then he blames Trump)

Thompson's attorney also blames Trump

Thompson's 6 charges

MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell explains why the DOJ has refused thus far a request from January 6 House Select Committee for an inventory list of the materials that Trump took to Mar-a-Lago.

Trump took those boxes from the White House when he left office also contain highly classified documents (some were marked TOP SECRET) according to some reports and do that is totally unlawful under Federal law.

The DOJ letter that O’Donnell cites is an indication that the AG has authorized a federal investigation of Trump and the Trump White House for possible Federal crimes as shown in the below O’Donnell presentation:

The above slides are snapshots from the from the presentation and they regard the trial of a second that January 6 rioter, Thomas Robertson, who was a police officer in Rocky Mount, VA on the day he entered the Capitol on January 6.

He was arrested in January 2021 and fired soon after by that city.

He was found guilty on all six charges (seen above) and also announced on NBC New here.

My 2 Cents: The main point in this story is about the criticism of the DOJ about being too slow investigating Trump and his ties to January 6. Keep in mind that the long held premise by DOJ and other law enforcement agencies is this simple: “We don't comment on on-going investigations.”

Seen in first slide above: Extract from the DOJ.

The letter cited in the O’Donnell presentation seems to solidify that premise.

My advice to Trump and those awaiting trial is simply this: “Duck!!! DOJ is coming for you and rightly so.”

Thanks for stopping by.
