GOP-RED States: Federal Court Says Okay to Discriminate If They Approve It

GOP-RED States Want Legal Discrimination
(Recent Fed. Court ruling most-insane ever)

A growing major concern: GOP/Conservative court rulings against Federal laws such as voting laws and discrimination and abortion and such are under serious attack reported on here from SALON.com with this headline – [edited and formatted to fit the blog]:

Federal judge blocks Biden's directives to protect LGBTQ people from discrimination.”

How timely this classic is now based on the following story contents:

(Bye, Bye) American Pie

The Issue: Two new directives put into motion by Biden with the purpose of protecting LGBTQ people from being discriminated against at school and at work, etc., have been temporarily blocked by a federal judge (appointed by Trump).

The block is in response to a lawsuit filed by several state AG’s (see list of states below) who view the directives as infringing upon state rights (re: The Washington Post).

U.S. District Judge Charles Atchley Jr. of the Eastern District of Tennessee wrote in his ruling: Defendant’s (Federal government) guidance directly interferes with and threatens Plaintiff States rights (the ruling implies which are red-GOP run states) to continue enforcing their state laws (and to continue to discriminate as this ruling clearly states). Their sovereign power to enforce their own legal code is hampered by the issuance of the Federal guidance and they face substantial pressure to change their state laws as a result.”

Scary part of this case are these states who seek to discriminate against LGBTQ people: AL, AZ, AR, GA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MS, MO, MT, NE, OH, OK, SC, SD, TN, and WV.

My 2 Cents: My read on what this Judge rules is in essence that it’s okay to discriminate as long states say so, and even if it is against Federal laws and history that say discrimination is bad and unlawful.

In other words all laws for the country should only be decided locally (e.g., and like the new anti-abortion ruling also).

So, what has happened to the United States as a nation?

Oh, yeah, the U.S.A. in this “new Trump owned and operated GOP” says in essence: Bye, bye, 50 states – Welcome the new GOP-RED State-run Disunited States of Whatever (no more United States of America) – deal with it.

Okay, now what’s next? How about reversing Brown v. Bd. of Education (1954) that tossed out the RED state view that “Separate but equal was okay?”

Then restart from scratch as if it were April 12, 1861 all over again – only this time the rebels will declare victory in advance. They are after all now heavily armed better than in that era, right?

Folks in all seriousness, we are in very, very deep and troubled waters, and it’s NOT the fault of the DEMS, Biden, inflation, gas prices, CoVID, or vaxx and booster resistance, either.

What we face now is Steve Bannon in our face just like he once said:We, under Trump will deconstruct America and make it into what he and we want.”

This ruling points us squarely in that direction without any doubt.

Types of Discrimination: Age Discrimination; Disability Discrimination; Sexual Orientation; Status as a Parent; Religious Discrimination; National Origin; Pregnancy; Sexual Harassment; Race; Color; Sex; Reprisal/Retaliation.

Thanks for stopping by – now as I often say: Hang on tight.
