Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA): Opens Yap & Again Spews Feces (polite word)

(UT GOP Gov. Spencer & GA Rep.Taylor Greene)

Utah GOP Gov. Spencer Cox rips Taylor Greene for her secession rant from Business Insider with this headline:

“Utah's Republican Governor hits back at MTG's call to break up the United States saying: This rhetoric is destructive and wrong, and honestly – evil”

§  A Republican governor hit back at Marjorie Taylor Greene's call for a “national divorce” in the U.S.

§  Utah GOP Gov. Spencer Cox called Greene's rhetoric “destructive and evil.

§  However, this isn't the first time Greene has called for the break-up of the US. She did so back in December.

When Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene called for the breakup of the United States on Presidents' Day, it was met with swift condemnation from her usual political opponents.

GOP Gov. Spencer Cox (R-UT) said in a tweet:We don't need a divorce, we need marriage counseling. And we need elected leaders that don't profit by tearing us apart.”

In follow-up tweets, Cox wrote about the need for civility, kindness, and healthy conflict in posts accompanying photos of lawmakers from both political parties working together.

He concluded his tweets with the Pledge of Allegiance: “One nation, under God with Liberty and Justice for ALL.”

Gov. Cox was reacting to what Taylor Greene had suggested on Monday night (February 20) that there should be a national divorce – that is a separation of the country into Red and Blue states, and this isn’t the first time she has made such comments, but the idea is politically toxic for many.

Greene has previously called for a national divorce tweeting in December that people moving from Blue to Red states should temporarily be stopped from voting.

But her latest provocative tweet, which bemoaned the “sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats,” was met with swift and fierce and condemnation.

Liz Cheney, for example – the former Republican member of Congress, wrote in a tweet: “Secession is unconstitutional. No member of Congress should advocate secession, Marjorie.”

Then Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) vice chair of the House Democratic Caucusaccused MAGA Republicans like Taylor Greene, “of being intent on dividing Americans.”

To top it off, Marianne Williamson, a former Democratic candidate for president in 2020, asked on Twitter: “Did she (Taylor Greene) just call for Civil War? Does she know what happened the last time a few states said they wanted to leave (the Union)?”

My 2 Cents: I like millions of others I am sure, believe that Taylor Greene is a lunatic with her views.

Now, she feels more empowered to talk crazy thanks to the help and support from the new GOP Speaker, Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) whom she helped land the seat after 14 House votes.

Now he is paying her back in spades with key committee seats and free reins to post her garbage. That is both very disgusting for him and now again with this her crazy rant. In a word, she is totally off her rocker.

Does Taylor Greene even know that secession was ruled unconstitutional in the landmark 1869 United States Supreme Court decision in Texas v. White (74 U.S. 700) (by a vote of 8-1).

That ruling, BTW is still applicable today Ms. Greene so wake up. But then again, she probably does not know about that ruling, being a lamebrain Neanderthal look alike.

Thanks for stopping by.
