DeSantis War on Migrants: lllegally Flies Them from TX to MD and Now to CA

From TX to MD lands DeSantis in hot water

Group in Martha's Vineyard on empty promises

Big news from Texas: Sheriff goes after DeSantis as seen in the following report on the story from THE HILL with this headline – I say go git ‘em, Texas:

“Texas sheriff calls for charges after DeSantis migrant flights”

The sheriff’s office in Bexar County, TX has filed a criminal case with the county’s DA over a 2022 incident in which 49 migrants were flown from San Antonio to Martha’s Vineyard, MA by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office told The Hill: The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has officially filed a completed criminal case with the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office regarding the incident from September 2022 where 49 migrants were flown to Martha’s Vineyard. The charge filed is: (1) Unlawful Restraint and several accounts were filed, both misdemeanor and felony. At this time, the case is being reviewed by the DA’s office.”

Last September, Gov. Ron DeSantis sent dozens of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard as part of his migrant relocation effort.

Several other GOP governors have moved to bus or fly thousands migrants north to liberal cities in protest of immigration at the border and Biden administration policies.

Sheriff Javier Salazar, the sheriff for Bexar County that includes San Antonio, opened an investigation last year into the incident over concerns that the Venezuelan migrants were “lured under false pretenses onto the flight to Martha’s Vineyard” by DeSantis.

This sheriff’s office move signals that they have wrapped up the investigation into the incident (according to The Miami Herald), which first reported on the recommendations, and prosecutors will now decide whether to follow them. Top DeSantis aides could reportedly be involved in the case.

This development also comes as DeSantis runs for the White House in 2024.

Further, CA’s AG said that FL appears to be behind a group of South American migrants who arrived at a church in Sacramento via a private flight supposedly arranged by DeSantis.

This story will be updated as it develops.

My 2 Cents: I am not a fan of Texas per se, but this seems like a legal lawful move from that Bexar County sheriff and his office and I say good for him. I hope they nail DeSantis in TX and then in CA, too.

DeSantis is 100% off the edge of reality on most issues with his so-called “Cultural War on gays, banning books in schools, voting rights, and numerous other of his anti-social issues” that he not only wants for FL but for the nation as a whole and that and that must never happen, now or forever.

Thanks for stopping by.
