This fine article from Rolling Stone (Tim Dickinson) shows clearly the real motivation of the NRA, one that used to be for gun owners, gun safety, and yes, even universal background checks for every gun at every gun show (said Wayne LaPierre way back when) with no loopholes for anyone to the present day rabid, almost totally insane vocal stance we see and hear all over the news from the same Wayne LaPierre. What has changed - the picture above says it all -- their motivation is the almighty dollar.

The Bottom Line: The NRA is unreasonable in helping find fixes for the nation's gun and murder and mass shooting problem ... solutions might interfere with their corporate bottom line as it were.
