I have always said I see two things that I believe definitely work to undermine and possibly destroy our system of choosing people to serve us in government that is our system of representative democracy: (1) big amounts of uncontrolled money, and (2) redistricting or the term Gerrymandering (that is to divide state, county, etc., into election districts so as to give one political party as many districts while concentrating the voting strength of the other party into as few districts as possible in order to win and retain seats as long as possible).

What do we need? I believe we need a strong law that prevents this wild drawing of maps that allows either party to gain and stay in power at their whim. Then we need to have an independent committee set up to do the task for the people with the people involved according to their wish and not the political party's desires.
