"Ted" Cruz Keeping an Eye Birth Control Issues
(sort of)
Ted Cruz told hundreds of Iowans on Monday night that
the idea of "condom police" in the United States is a “nonsense issue.”
He even suggested he had never met any individual who wanted to ban
contraceptives.
At a packed campaign stop in Bettendorf, IA, an
audience member asked the presidential candidate about his stance “on making
contraception available for women.”
Cruz
launched into an animated, four-minute response. He said suggestions that
conservatives want to cut off access to contraception is part of a fabricated
effort by Democrats to persuade voters that Republicans are engaging in a “war
on women,” adding: “Anyone who wants contraceptives can access them, but it's
an utterly made-up nonsense issue, [and] I have been a conservative my entire
life. I have never met anybody, any conservative who wants to ban contraceptives,”
he concluded.
Wow – what garbage and do you believe that there are
those in the GOP who say Cruz is the smart one, the bright one, the one with intellect
and backing to go all the way – yeah, right.
For his education I submit the following, but it’s
doubtful he will pay much attention to me or this;
1. From the
NY Times The
Republican Conception of Conception
2. From my previous posts here.
Cruz should be nowhere near the Oval Office, except as a visitor alongside Rubio perhaps. Perhaps just my view, but a strong case nevertheless.
Thanks for stopping by.
