Across the Country and Texas Leading the "Pack" As It Were
So, Break Up the Union
(Who're the Terrorists Now)
Short
and sweet issue as it were from here, in part:
Whew
boy — here we go again. Look, I would
totally support the secession of Texas if they pack up and move to Syria. I
would even support us providing the ships and planes to take them. We could bill
them later.
The Story: In a move that surprises absolutely no one, the Texas GOP has agreed to try and put a secession resolution on the primary ballot in March next year.
According to the San Antonio Express-News, a proposal to put Texas’ secession from the United States to a non-binding vote in March cleared a Republican-controlled state committee.

By
putting the issue to a non-binding vote, Texas Republicans and secessionists
would simply gauge the voting public’s interest in the subject, as it would
have no legal impact on the state’s federal relations.
“There’s been a big groundswell of Texans that are getting into the Texas independence issue. I believe conservatives in Texas should have a choice to voice their opinion,” said Texas State Republican Executive Committee member Tanya Robertson to the Houston Chronicle.
Texas wants to break up the Union? So, who are the terrorists now? As for me, even talk of breaking up the Union speaks of the worse kind of treason, anarchy, and it would I’m pretty sure violate some part of this law:

18 U.S. Code § 2385 - Advocating overthrow of
Government
In
part the law states:
… Whoever knowingly or willfully
advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or
propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or
the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the
government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by
the assassination of any officer of any such government; or
… Whoever, with intent to cause the
overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues,
circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed
matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or
propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by
force or violence, or attempts to do so; or
… Whoever organizes or helps or attempts
to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or
encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or
violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any such society,
group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes thereof —
Shall be fined under this title or
imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for
employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the
five years next following his conviction.
Also, this question: Is secession legal or not: This case, Texas v. White (1869) sets the law in stone: no it is not legal to secede from the United States of America.
Thanks for stopping by. Follow this issue
closely. It shows the utter nonsense of the GOP today.
Remember, it's this GOP: Those loyal patriotic flag-waving, law-abiding Americans, right?
