Trump-Haley
Nasty, Mean-spirited, Degrading the UN
(Re: U.S. Embassy Location in Israel)
Haley Threatens and Warns the UN: Don't Ever Cross Us Again
Updated (December 25,
2017): The United
States negotiated a $285 million reduction in its funding to the United Nations
as part of the international body's 2018–2019 budget, per the
U.S. mission to the UN.
Our U.N. Ambassador Nimrata
“Nikki” Haley (R-SC) said as seen below: “We will no longer let
the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked.
The United States will remember this day in which it was singled out in this
assembly. We will remember it when, once again, we are called up to make the
world's largest contribution.”
Worth noting: Haley made
that threat to pull U.S. funding from the UN after the General Assembly
voted against President Trump's decision to recognize Israel as Jerusalem's
capital Thursday.

Original Post from Here:
This story rips apart and shreds more U.S. prestige and world standing all under Trump on top of that already in the global spotlight since he took office.
His insults are all willy-nilly and quite
well-known in international circles. We can call it the “Trump Mindless
Touch.”
Related to that part is from the Washington Post here.
The UN
General Assembly voted, 128 to 9 (December 21, 2017) to condemn Trump's
announcement that he would move our Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem thus
deciding that contentious issue himself.
- Abstaining votes (35 countries)
included: Canada,
Australia, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, and South Sudan.
- Yes votes included: The UK, France, Germany, India,
Syria, and Yemen.
- No votes were from: The US, Israel, Micronesia,
Nauru, Togo and Tonga, Palau, the Marshall Islands, Guatemala, and
Honduras.
U.S. Ambassador Nimrata “Nikki”
Haley (R-SC) comments are very disturbing in her warning to the
entire UN General Assembly: “This vote will be remembered. When we make generous
donations to UN we also have a legitimate expectation that our goodwill is
recognized and respected. When a nation is
singled out for attack in this organization, that nation is disrespected. The United States will remember this day, in
which it was singled out for attack in the general assembly when we are once
again called upon to make the world’s largest contribution to the United
Nations.”
My 2 cents: Trump stands for everything bad in the
world and he is showing it in everything he does or says or tries to do in our
corner of that world as he tries to “go it alone.”
All of the nastiness we read
about and see on some networks (like FOX) and all across rabid rightwing Talk
Radio and in actions around the country that reflects a very negative view of pretty
much anything to do with government is now all rolled up in this one single man
now in the White House and smack dab in our collective face. That by itself is astonishing
and worrisome to say the least.
Where we are headed is nothing compared to where he is
“leading” us - and I use the term leading loosely. I am not one by my nature to
worry unnecessarily, but with the Trump the unknown is enough to unnerve even
the strongest among us.
Happy New Year. I say, let’s put 2017
in the history books and forget that it ever happened.
Thanks for stopping by.
