When Will Reality Finally Hit Home
MAGA — ha … more like MULP (Make Us Last Place)
America
First or America Alone?
Trump says
he’s building America’s power overseas, but some recent developments would seem
to contradict that view.
“Our strategy is to advance American influence
in the world,” President Trump said in his recent national security speech.
However, many
in the international community say it’s having the opposite effect:
1. China takes
the lead on fighting climate change.
2. Russia
oversees Syrian peace talks.
3. France and
Germany provide unwavering leadership for NATO.
4. Paris
climate accord moves without U.S. as partner.
5. India has
cast a wary eye on Trump’s unpredictability
6. Many say and
believe that the U.S. has lost its status as a negotiator acceptable to all
sides in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Flashback Note: Remember when Trump said this: “I
want to be unpredictable” – well, folks here we are now living in “The age of the con”
as it were.
My Note: Trump loyalists seem to keep clinging to him –
that’s the power of the con-man, keep “them on the hook” as long as possible
despite bad events otherwise.
Trump is skilled at that – at least for this base
– who I guess are still waiting the “great” part to flow down to them –
commonly known as “trickle down” left over from the 1981 era – wow. Now that’s
loyalty from the base that Trump demands and thrives on.
But for the rest of the country – not so hot – at least
the smart, savvy ones that Trump just drives on by or ignores or more apropos
dishes out more insults.
If ever a man needed to be removed from office, it’s
this man I’m sad to say but for the country’s sake (which should always be
paramount) he has to be removed from office.
Happy New Year for what it’s worth (bah humbug) no, not
really – just my weak attempt at humor. We can still hope, right?
