1.  Clint Eastwood spoke to an empty chair has a prop in his 2012 speech at the  RNC convention.
2.  The RNC convention in 2016 nominated Donald J. Trump, who now carries their  label and banner and by extension has become their leader.

On March 22, 2003, the world saw the “Shock and Awe” bombing of Baghdad on live TV.

On July 21, 2016, the world saw Donald J. Trump accept the nomination of the GOP for president on live TV. That has become the GOP’s new version: Call it their “Shock and Awe Shït” moment.

Sorry, folks, but a Rick Perry “oops” won’t cut it.
