CA Man Mass Shooting Plan: 20k of Rounds of Ammo and Lots of Guns Ready to Go

This home arsenal is total madness run amok for anyone
(Courts must not allow this in any form)

The story headlines (NBC News): CA Man Mass Shooting Plan: Ready to Go With 20k of Rounds of Ammo and More

Police searching the CA apartment of Thomas Andrews, 32, a UPS worker who threatened a mass shooting found body armor, tactical rifles, and 20,000 rounds of ammunition.

Andrews was arrested on suspicion of evading police, driving under the influence, and several weapons violations said the Sunnyvale police department.

They said they received a report on Sunday night (March 1) that Andrews was planning a mass shooting at the UPS facility in Sunnyvale, a city near San Jose.

When officers tried to stop him three hours later, a pursuit on one of the state's main thoroughfares, Highway 101, followed and then a search of his Sunnyvale apartment found thousands of rounds of ammunition, high capacity magazines, five tactical rifles, a shotgun, three handguns, body armor, and tactical backpacks with ammunition all staged near the door and ready to go it appeared.

Andrews is being held at the Santa Clara County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail, and it wasn’t clear if he had a lawyer.

A UPS spokesman said the company was aware of the situation and is cooperating with authorities but declined to comment further.

My 2 cents: Very disturbing storey to say the least, and more so in this era of deep ugliness and division all across the country - like this story for example that I posted here (Feb 19 – FYI).

Just image a million gun-nuts and radicals like this man with the same stories spread out across all across the country who are looking to start Civil War II (as some of them have said). Damn scary, isn’t it?

Also, I think this subject should be a huge election issue with a focus on gun rights/ownership (which I support) but laws with common sense background checks and safety always #1 in mind, and not just simply my right to own a gun, etc or other controls that stymie lawful gun ownership.

If a person has nothing to hide, has a clean background record, and no known devious plans or radical language, then they should work to keep those rights in place for lawful and legal ownership – one that makes sense and protects rational gun rights without the wild craziness like the above story points out and hundreds of others in recent years.

Thanks for stopping by.
