Another “fake
elector” scheme update reported on here from THE HILL with this headline – short
and sweet post showing justice at work:
“Wisconsin
governor pushes for prosecution of state’s 2020 fake electors”
Gov. Tony Evers (D) argued
on August 4 that the 10 people who participated in the fake elector scheme in WI
in an attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election for Trump should be charged for their
actions saying: “There has to be accountability. What
they did was wrong, and so I’m hoping somebody will pick up the banner here,
because this has to happen.”
WI is not the only state to face attempts by fake electors
to overturn their state’s election results in 2020 by Republicans in six other
states that Trump lost – they are: AZ, GA, MI, NV, NM, and PA.
Last month, 16 people
were charged in MI by AG Dana Nessel (D) for their attempts to change the
state’s election results saying: “They weren’t the duly elected and
qualified electors, and each of the defendants knew it. They carried out these
actions with the hope and belief that the electoral votes of Michigan’s 2020
election would be awarded to the candidate of their choosing, instead of the
candidate that Michigan voters actually chose.”
FYI: Eight fake electors received
immunity deals in GA in May in their 2020 election meddling
investigation. The whole group of 16 met about a month after the election at
the state Capitol and signed a certificate saying Trump won the election and
that they were GA’s “duly elected and qualified electors” when in fact they
were not.
Here is the plot timeline from Just Security.
My 2 Cents: Those “fake electors” wanted to override our vote and put in a phony one that benefitted Trump the loser over Biden the true winner. That is very serious and they must be punished to the fullest extent of the law possible.
I think and hope that everyone else feels the same way. Taking away our right to vote free, fair, safe, and secure is the hallmark of our country above all else.
Let's hope that the other 5 states move like MI and WI have. Apparently reports say that AZ is on the move, too.
Thanks for stopping by.
