The GOP: Scared and Well-Armed and Not to Be Infringed

The headlines from here set the scene: "Conservatives Are Morphing into the Party of Doomsday Preppers..."

As true and apropos today as it was then: "Fear itself, President Franklin Roosevelt famously observed in his First Inaugural Address, can present the greatest obstacle to progress. It can easily overwhelm our discourse, paralyze our politics, and splinter the social construct that binds us together as a people."

The GOP always complains about the media (especially the left-leaning media) being slanted and highly influencial and a controlling factor in society and especailly for the Democrats in office or striving for office, ... but boy have they mastered the PR game like champs worthy of an academy award for best bullshit performance of the century.

The are afraid of everything - anti/this and anti/that all the while they offer little if anything in the way of improvement inspite of their shallow and hollow words otherwise and wose: their actions or lack thereof.
