Wall Jumping 101 Just in Case
(Works for both directions)
Ryan gives approval: Money coming, green light, get moving
Major
Update on “the damn wall” from The AP in part below:
WASHINGTON
(AP)
— President Donald Trump will use his executive authority Wednesday to
jump start construction of a U.S.-Mexico border wall, one of his signature
campaign promises. He is also expected to target so-called sanctuary cities and
potentially restrict the flow of refugees to the United States, according to
administration officials.
The president will sign the first
actions — including the measure authorizing work on the wall —during a trip to
the Department of Homeland Security Wednesday afternoon. He'll also move to
increase the number of border patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement
agents.
Trump, in an interview with ABC News,
said he expected construction of the wall to begin within months. U.S. taxpayers are expected to pay for the upfront costs,
though Trump continues to assert that Mexico will reimburse the money through
unspecified means, Trump added: “There will be a payment, it
will be in a form, perhaps a complicated form.” He said negotiations with Mexico would begin soon. Mexican President Enrique Pena
Nieto, who has insisted his country will not pay for a wall, is to meet with
Trump at the White House next week. [NOTE: Rumor says Pena Nieto may cancel his upcoming trip to DC].
[I ask: Repayment to us in the form of perhaps
a “complicated form” WTF does that mean – repayment in the form of taco shell bowls
for Trump Tower Hotel meals around the world?].
Mr. Trump also said he is still be weighing the details of plans to curb the number of refugees coming to
the U.S. The current proposal includes at least a four-month halt on all
refugee admissions, as well as a temporary ban on people coming from some
Muslim-majority countries.
Trump campaigned on pledges to tighten
U.S. immigration policies, including strengthening border security and stemming
the flow of refugees. His call for a border wall was among his most popular
proposals with supporters, who often broke out in chants of “build that wall”
during rallies.
I say, okay folks, here we are at destiny’s
front door – before we enter, better check for “trip wires” – you know the IED
type, um?

and updated article from here about that damn wall with one simple
question: Why should we the people pay for a Trump pledge that he made in a
political campaign – when he never mentioned we’d pay for the damn wall and
besides how do we make a country reimburse us?
To get a sense of just how massive the
undertaking of the wall would be, analysts
at Bernstein calculated the possible costs in a
note to clients in July. The estimated cost would be at least $15 billion, according to the analysts, and possibly as
much as $25 billion (probably would be a lot more).
The Bernstein note made some
assumptions based on Trump's previous proposals, and since Trump has not yet
provided the exact dimensions of the wall, we'll have to work with those for
now.
Trump’s
Projected View of His Amerika: Making Us Great (Again) – um, excuse me, but when did we stop being great in the first place? I guess to make all
this happen we will see the Trump vision up close and in our collective face to be reinforced like this?
Then recently from Speaker Paul “Marathon” Ryan (R-WI) at the GOP retreat in Philly from
CNN:
Congress
may pay for the border wall through a special spending bill being hashed out
over the next two months, footing the cost of President Donald Trump's priority
before seeking any refund from Mexico, Republican lawmakers said Wednesday.
Ryan told lawmakers that they could pay for the wall through a supplemental appropriations bill – a spending measure that would be dedicated just to the wall, according to Republicans in the room and a GOP lawmaker, adding that: “The President said he's going to get reimbursed one way or the other and we accept that.”

I Note: Paul Ryan also believes in and trusts the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus,
and the Tooth Fairy, too.
I
conclude with this: All this hot air from Mr. Trump is his flare and style of a
showman – now it is center stage more powerful than anyone ever thought possible.
What we see unfolding in less than a
week of him being in office is both dangerous and well, just downright wrong.
We clearly are in uncharted waters. Why take a these risk chances; just for the
benefit of one man who says they are okay whether or not they are for his egomaniacal ideas only?
And, surely not just because he won and
wants to expand the Trump name brand empire, right? We had better wake the hell
up to the fact that is exactly what all this grandstanding it… for the Trump name
brand and nothing much else regardless of what he says otherwise.
Finally how about this for the
move to fund the wall with tax dollars and then try to get Mexico to pay us
back? If the GOP goes ahead and funds the wall (estimates are $15 to $25 billion or more), that every single one of
us refuse to file our taxes for however long it takes to get the money back from
Mexico.
... What a powerful message
that would send?
