Very short but timely and critical post with this quick
quip: “We criminals got’s to stick together, right?”
So, how does “Don the Con” Trump’s crime syndicate work? Small
example in a big way explains that in this condensed Business Insider article with this headline:
“A hot mic caught Rep.
Matt Gaetz reassuring Roger Stone that the boss would grant him clemency and
he won't go to jail”
· Rep. Matt Gaetz told Roger Stone in 2019 that
Trump would grant him clemency, The Washington Post (originally reported).
· Gaetz was caught speaking to Stone on a hot mic
during a Trump event in October 2019.
· Stone had his 40-month sentence commuted by Trump in July 2020.
Roger Stone has been a Trump associate for decades. In
November 2019, Stone was indicted on
one count of obstruction, five counts of making false statements to the FBI and
to congressional investigators, and one count of witness tampering in the 2016
election by Robert Mueller’s Russia probe.
In February 2020, Strone he was sentenced to 40 months in
prison, but that sentence was later commuted by Trump before he left
office.
Gaetz told Stone: “The boss still has a very favorable view
of you, and he told me that directly,” adding: “I don't think the big guy can
let you go down for this.”
Note: Gaetz also told Stone that he was working on getting
him a pardon but did not want to discuss the situation further since there were
many microphones backstage at the event.
This same story also covered here by The Wrap.
My 2 Cents: No doubt about
it: Donald J. Trump is the head a very huge and intricate criminal enterprise
and has been for decades.
Time for him to go down
and go down hard.
Thanks for stopping by.
